ANDY ROSE FIDOTEN

Andy Fidoten is a filmmaker and former punk based in New York City. A Manhattan native, Fidoten crafts alternative worlds that are both distinct from and deeply rooted in our own, transforming contemporary anxieties around gender and sexuality into cinematic landscapes filled with humor, fantasy, and horror.

His work has recently been showcased at the Museum of Modern Art, Woodstock Film Festival, Santa Fe International Film Festival, London Short Film Festival, and Final Girls Berlin.

Andy is currently hard at work on his first feature, “Something You Should Know About Me”. So far the project has: Successfully crowdfunded over $50,000 with a Kickstarter campaign, received a Panavision New Filmmakers Grant, and was a semifinalist for the Humanitas Prize in comedy writing. It is currently in post-production.

He is a recent graduate of the stony brook/Killer Films mfa in directing.
